We share a passion for converting academic knowledge into applied solutions. Duncan’s background in finance and Julia’s background in applied philosophy were the reason we decided to join forces. BSB was born from a shared set of beliefs and desires to transform the way people behave and interact with each other.
Julia Brouwers
Julia studied Law at Tilburg University and holds a BA in education. She is also a long-time yoga and therapeutics teacher. The latter experience, especially after caring for her son who suffered from cancer, is what put Julia on the path of Psychology. She is currently studying towards a Master’s degree in Change at INSEAD and is also completing a philosophy Master’s degree with an emphasis on morals, ethics and agency. In addition to this, she has completed a course on decision-making and Behavioural Economics at the London School of Economics. Julia is also COO at Matcorp Investments.
Duncan Rooders
Formerly a commercial Boeing 747 pilot, and now CEO of single-family company Matcorp Investments, Duncan has a Master’s degree in Strategy from the London Business School and a Master’s degree in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s OPM programme. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in War Studies with a focus on deciosion-making at King’s College London. BSB was started as a means of sharing his passion for business, economics, and psychology and to bridge the gap between academic insights and business challenges.
